Tessa Brody (formerly Malsam) is a Denver-based film editor whose work focuses on character-driven documentary storytelling. Her credits include the Emmy Award-winning The Social Dilemma, Magnolia Pictures' The Grab, and Patagonia's Newtok.

She is drawn to stories that illuminate the human lives inside complex global issues—from environmental change to cultural identity and investigative reporting. Her films have screened at major festivals and on international platforms, reaching audiences around the world. An alumni of the Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship, her recent work includes the award-winning Searching for Amani and I Was Born This Way, both of which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Tessa earned her BA in Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder. She began her career in Los Angeles editing nationally broadcast campaigns before turning her focus to documentary filmmaking, where she now shapes stories from the cutting room.
